What is Nomanoma?
Nomanoma takes its name from Hon-noma (本野間), the district where this renovated gardening warehouse stands in Kamiyama, Tokushima Prefecture. Inside that name is 間 — ma — the space that forms between people.
Nomanoma is a branch of Studio AKARI, a production company specialized in outdoor photography and film.
We believe exercise is the best excuse for people to gather. Climb walls. Lift weights. Train with an instructor who knows your name. Whether it's your first time exercising or your thousandth, the starting point is the same — showing up and moving your body.
We want Nomanoma to become a place that nourishes your body and connects your community.

Marco Lui
Owner
English / 日本語 / 中文
Bouldering showed Marco something early on: a sport where beginners and veterans share the same wall, cheer each other on, and strike up conversations without trying. That memory is the reason Nomanoma exists. A certified strength and running coach, Marco is also an avid trail runner on the mountains around Kamiyama.
